Integration of Carbon Tax and Emission Trading Systems into Digital Transformation – Completed at IIERC 2022

Sustainability has become one of the most critical goals embraced globally by governments, corporations, and societies. In this context, carbon taxes and emission trading systems stand out as strategic tools to reduce environmental footprints. We contributed to this field through our paper and presentation on the integration of Green Transformation with Digital Transformation.

During this process, our Chairman of the Board at IQ Denetim, Murat Hekim, shared national and international insights on integrating carbon tax and emission trading systems into digital transformation. His paper and presentation at the IIERC 2022 Economics Conference hosted by Istanbul University became a significant milestone in this journey.

Our efforts in sustainability were not limited to practical applications. We also made contributions to the academic literature. As a culmination of six years of work, we contributed to the book titled Sustainable Development Goals, Sustainability Reporting, and Auditing, edited by Prof. Dr. Nalan Akdoğan and Prof. Dr. Deniz Umut Doğan. Through this book, we shared our expertise with a broader audience. This publication serves as an essential resource for both academia and the business world, providing guidance in sustainability and reporting processes.
